Roasted asparagus is one of the easiest, most flavorful dishes you can make.

Like all our easy asparagus recipes, this one uses high heat to create more flavor.

And, also like our other easy asparagus recipes, it takes less than 10 minutes to prepare.

A touch of lemon pepper seasoning adds a bright, savory note.

We like to finish ours with a drizzle of balsamic glaze for a touch of sweet complexity.

It’s a winning combination that takes this simple vegetable to the next level.

We make our own balsamic glaze. It’s ridiculously easy. And it stores in the fridge for up to 10 days.

Not only is it a wonderful addition to asparagus. It’s great on fruits, greens, and meats.

But if you don’t want to be bothered you can purchase a high-quality store-bought balsamic glaze.

Instructions
  1. Position the oven rack in the lower third of the oven. Preheat the oven to 475 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Take one asparagus spear and bend the bottom half of it until it naturally breaks. Discard the broken bottom piece. Align all of the spear tips. Cut the remaining spears at the same point where the first stalk was broken. Alternately all tough ends can be snapped off, as done with the first stalk.
  3. On a parchment lined baking sheet, place the asparagus. Drizzle with olive oil. Sprinkle with sea salt and lemon pepper seasoning blend. Toss asparagus with hands to evenly coat with olive oil and the seasoning. Spread in a single layer on the baking sheet.
  4. Roast for 3-4 minutes. Plate. Garnish with lemon wedges.
  5. Drizzle asparagus with balsamic glaze. Serve warm or at room temperature.
